Moses Serubiri is an independent art writer and curator based in Kampala, Uganda. His current research and exhibition project explores the iconography of protest in East Africa.
He has previously written on metaphors for Ugandan politics in urban spaces. He has contributed to C& Platform for International Africa from African Perspectives, Chimurenga Pan African Gazette, Africa is A Country website, among others. His paper on ‘The SelfMaking of Spoken Word Poets in Kampala’ is forthcoming in a book by the GoetheInstitut in South Africa. As a curator, Moses sits on the Curatorial Committee for the 2nd Kampala Contemporary Art Festival, KLA ART 014.
