Aaron Bryant
Curator of Photography and Visual Culture, Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture

Aaron Bryant is curator of Photography and Visual Culture at the Smithsonian’s National Museum of African American History and Culture. His work has received honors from institutions such as the Lyndon Johnson Presidential Library, the Library of Congress, the U.S. State Department, Justice Department, Congress, and the Royal Anthropological Institute, UK. Additionally, Bryant has lectured at leading universities and institutions throughout the UK, Spain, and India. He is the former chair of Baltimore City’s Public Arts Commission and a former commissioner with the city’s Commission on Historical and Architectural Preservation.
