David L. Jones

PhD Candidate, Northwestern University

David L. Jones is a PhD Candidate in the Art History Department at Northwestern University. His research focuses on intersection between black interior spaces, photography, and the environment. David has previously collaborated with the Prison Neighborhood Arts + Education Project at Stateville and is a graduate of the Harvard Art Museums’ Summer Institute for Technical Studies in Art (2024). His critical writing can be found in Photography & Culture, The Studio Museum in Harlem’s Magazine, and tba: Journal of Art, Media, and Visual Culture.
