Isabel Strauss

Isabel Strauss is assistant professor of architecture in the art department at Smith College. Before coming to Smith, Strauss was a curatorial contractor at the National Museum of African American History and Culture, working in architecture and design. Prior to the NMAAHC, Strauss worked in set design, exhibition design, and architectural design, at studios and firms including XL Scenic, Skidmore, Owings & Merrill, Johnston Marklee, and MASS Design Group. Her work has been exhibited at venues and institutions including The Biennale Architettura, The Chicago Architecture Biennial, and Arc en Rêve centre d’architecture, among others.
