Jessica Larson

Historian

Jessica Larson is an architectural historian whose focus is the built environment of charity and social welfare in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. Larson received her PhD from the Graduate Center of the City University of New York and her work has been supported by fellowships with the University of California’s School of Architecture, the Smithsonian Institution, the American Council of Learned Societies, the Library of Congress, the New York Public Library’s Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture, among others.
