Myrtis Bedolla
Dr. Myrtis Bedolla is the founder and proprietor of Galerie Myrtis, a leading gallery specializing in artists of the African Diaspora. A curator, art advisor, and advocate with more than three decades of experience, she is recognized for advancing equity, scholarship, and market access for Black artists. She received her curatorial training at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA). In 2022, she made history as the inaugural African American curator of The Afro‐Futurist Manifesto: Blackness Reimagined, presented at the 59th Venice Biennale. In 2024, she served on the U.S. delegation to the Dakar Biennale. Her scholarship and advocacy have been featured in The New York Times and Cultured Magazine. Bedolla received an Honorary Doctorate of Fine Art from MICA in 2023 and a Governor’s Citation from Maryland Governor Wes Moore.
