Raél Jero Salley creates spaces that engage the senses, the intellect, the body, and feeling. Salley is: faculty at the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA); founding director of The Space for Creative Black Imagination, Inc.; author of The Visual Dynamics of Art, Black Care, and Ethics (Routledge, 2025); curator, producer, and visual artist. Salley works at the intersection of visual culture, ethics, and Black creative life, collaborating with leading arts and academic institutions throughout the United States, Europe, and Africa.
