Terrence Phearse
Chief of Staff, Studio Museum in Harlem, PhD Candidate
Terrence Phearse is a PhD Candidate at the Institute for Doctoral Studies in the Visual Arts and the Chief of Staff at the Studio Museum in Harlem. His research situates photography within phenomenology and the metaphysics of duration. In 2025, his photograph appeared on the cover of George Yancy’s Black Bodies, White Gazes. Phearse is the former Exhibitions Manager at Fotografiska and Editor-at-Large at Musee Photo. He holds two Master’s degrees with Distinction from the University of Westminster in London and Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London.
