Brittney Cooper is Professor of Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies and Africana Studies at Rutgers University. She is the author of the award-winning, Beyond Respectability: The Intellectual Thought of Race Women, the New York Times bestseller Eloquent Rage: A Black Feminist Discovers Her Superpower and Stand Up: Ten Mighty Women Who Made a Change. She is co-author of Feminist AF: A Guide to Crushing Girlhood, a Kirkus top YA book of 2021 and co-editor of The Crunk Feminist Collection. Professor Cooper is a frequent commentator on MSNBC and other media outlets. She is co-founder of the Crunk Feminist Collective and a member of the Pleasure Ninjas.
