Kessie Alexandre is an assistant professor in the Department of Social and Cultural Analysis at New York University. She is a sociocultural anthropologist whose work centers on the intersections of race, place, and environment. Her research centers on Black geographies, Black diaspora and migration, environmental racism, urban ecologies, and the social dimensions of climate adaptation.
