Guyanese-American Grace Aneiza Ali is an Assistant Professor and Faculty Fellow in the Department of Art & Public Policy, Tisch School of the Arts, NYU. As a curator, her curatorial research practice centers on socially engaged art practices, global contemporary art, and Caribbean Art with a focus on Guyana. She is the founder and editorial director of OF NOTE — an award-winning nonprofit magazine on the intersection of art and politics and global arts activism. She is the founder and editor of GuyanaModern.com featuring contemporary arts & culture of Guyana. Ali is a current NYU Provost Fellow and has received the following Fellowships for her work: Fulbright Fellowship, Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts Curatorial Fellowship, and NYU’s Henry McCracken Fellowship. She has been named a World Economic Forum ‘Global Shaper’ and serves on the board of Images and Voices of Hope, which uses journalism to create meaningful, positive change.
