Dr. Loren S. Cahill is a cultural worker, artist and Assistant Professor at Smith College’s School of Social Work. Her current research interests include Black Girlhood Studies, Black Feminist Geographies, and Womanist Futurities. She is also quite interested in Freedom Dreams, Radical Love, Sacred Spaces, Intergenerational Healing, Community Archives and various forms of Artistry. She works in close collaboration with The Colored Girls Museum and Our Mothers Kitchens. She has her bachelor’s degree in Africana Studies from Wellesley College, MSW from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor and her PhD in Critical Social Personality Environmental Psychology from CUNY’s Graduate Center.
