  • Keenen “Kinen” Thomas

Keenen “Kinen” Thomas is a dancer from New York City. His movement is inspired by the mechanical, geometric, and illusionary possibilities of the body through rhythms and imagination. He is an active member in his community through volunteer work at community centers, after school work in public schools, and weekly training sessions for dancers in the NYC area. Kinen has participated in a number of notable freestyle dance events around the world like “Stackin Stylez”, “Lite Fest International”, “Thesis”, “Highlight The Style”, and “Juste Debout.” He has taught at numerous dance schools around the world and is currently an adjunct professor teaching the “Embodied African Aesthetics” course at Marymount Manhattan College. He is also an active performer in the “Brooklyn Nutcracker” and “The Layerhythm Experiment”
