Kerry-Ann James is currently a graduate student at York University in Toronto, Canada where she is earning her masters in Cinema and Media Studies. Her research interest focuse on Black aesthetics and explores spatiality and temporality in contemporary Black cinema. Kerry-Ann earned her BA in Cinema Studies from the University of Toronto, where her academic work has been published in The Undergraduate Journal of American Studies, Camera Stylo: Cinema Studies Undergraduate Journal, and ImagiNATIONS: Undergraduate Journal of Canadian Studies. Kerry-Ann is also a television/film actress known for her work on the Netflix original series, Grand Army, and Paramount Plus series, Mayor of Kingstown. She is also well-known for her high-performance track and field career. Earning national titles in Triple Jump and competing in the 2016 Canadian Olympic trials.
