Marcus Jamison is an independent curator and graduate of the Modern and Contemporary Art: Critical and Curatorial Studies Program at Columbia University. His curatorial practice engages in discourse of contemporary and artists of African Descent working in new media. His most recent show: AABV: Aestheticizing Anti-Black Violence—From Critique to Satire contemplated how Black artists have responded to anti-Black violence in their work amidst the global pandemic and continuing Black Lives Matters protest. AABV was exhibited at the Miriam and Ira D. Wallach Art Gallery in New York City. Marcus has also held positions at the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation, the Studio Museum in Harlem, and the Fridman Gallery.
